Job Description: The Policy and Program Consultant is provincial position responsible for the assessment, design, development, implementation, training, management and on-going support of specified projects that support the execution of Saskatchewan Cancer Agency's strategic and operational plans and priorities.
This position works closely with the Director of Epidemiology and Performance Measurement to analyze and report current access to national and provincial cancer specific health system indicators to identify strategies to meet future needs.
Assists the Director in developing annual strategic and operational plan for the divisions.
Consults and works closely with SCA departments and users to:
- assess program/department requirements,
- develop and implement processes to identify and prioritize performance measures for Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.
Researches, compiles and organizes information and data in a variety of fields related to health care clinical and administrative matters.
Produces a variety of documents including correspondence, evaluation and statistical reports.
Functions as a resource for information required of SCA system performance and benchmark reports as well as provincial Ministry of Health information requests.
Develops approaches to the acquisition and analysis of data and information necessary to target key improvement opportunities and conducts qualitative and quantitative analysis as required in support of the quality improvement initiatives and projects.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree in Nursing, Social Sciences, or other health science related discipline.
Masters degree from an accredited health science or health program is preferred.
Current active licensure or registration in the healthcare profession.
Minimum of 5 to 7 years clinical work
