Under the general supervision of a Manager. The employee in this position performs professional interdisciplinary policy development and research. Responsibilities include developing, coordinating and managing the City of Regina policies to implement Waste Plan Regina, monitoring and annual reporting, as well as providing research and support for a variety of divisional priority projects.
The work requires the employee to exercise judgement, initiative and creativity. The nature of the work involves and requires a significant degree of independence, although the work is performed within the broad parameters and guidelines of divisional regulations, standards and policies. The employee may supervise a specific functional area of work as leader of a project team with a given focus while under the direction of a Manager. The employee may also supervise more junior staff.
