In an environment that supports continuous improvement and under the supervision of the Fire Marshal, this employee is responsible for the development and implementation of an extensive Public Education Program whose ultimate goal is to assist in the reduction of emergency calls and the enhancement of public education awareness in the City of Regina.
Typical duties include:
- Develops and implements Public Education Programs related to Fire and Life Safety.
- Develops and manages strategies to provide programming to a broad section of the public; e.g. preschool, primary school, public service groups, seniors, special needs and at-risk populations.
- Creates and maintains methods and processes to evaluate fire and Life Safety program effectiveness in the community.
- Maintains contact with counterparts in other municipalities and develops partnerships with individuals in organizations pertaining to fire and Life Safety issues.
