Facility: MENTAL HEALTH OUTPATIENT
Job Description: This position is responsible to assist with the delivery of services for the Community Response Team (CRT) with Mental Health and Addictions that are consistent with policies, standards, legal requirements, philosophy and mission of the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
It includes being responsible to:
- Direct and coordinate Mental Health staff, Nurses, Office Staff and Schedulers.
- Collaborate with the CRT supervisor to coordinate program services as a multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate and work with other departments as needed.
- Consult with other Managers/supervisors when directing activities of the program if the sector Manager/Director is absent.
The Unit Coordinator, Community Mental Health works under the direction of the Manager in the assigned sector/region. The position, under the direction of the Mental Health and Addictions Manager, directs activities and supports the team to provide care to clients. In the absence of other Managers, the position has the authority to direct the activities of nursing within the program
Required Qualifications
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
Bachelor Degree in Nursing or Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric Nursing
Experience
- 3 years previous experience in a Community Mental Health environment.
- Previous education and/or experience in coordinating activities and personnel.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Computer skills in such programs as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
