We are seeking experienced Help Desk Support Technician to work at our Regina location to support PC users company wide.
Job Responsibilities:
- Rapidly identifies issues and resolves trouble tickets.
- When appropriate, escalate trouble tickets to the appropriate team member.
- Installs, modifies and make repairs to desktop computer hardware and software systems in a Microsoft environment, providing technical advice and support to system users.
- Identifies and procures the hardware and software needed to satisfy user requirements.
- Installs all peripheral components such as printers, scanners, phones and disk drives.
- Loads appropriate software packages onto PCs such as operating systems, networking components and office applications.
- Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users requirements.
- Provides telephone, in-person and remote support to end-users.
- Coordinates activities with network services and information systems groups.
- Provides updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication.
- Connects users to networks and provides initial training in facilities and applications.
- Monitors ticketing system and completes tickets in a timely manner.
- Periodically travels to sites in multiple states to perform assigned duties.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by Manager.
