SYNLawn Landscaping is currently seeking candidates to fill a full time Landscaping Construction Position. Employees should have a valid drivers license and must not have a criminal record as a background check may be required. Seasonal job for 6 months starting April or May depending on weather conditions.
Duties Include: Being able to execute a Landscape Design Plan through the construction phase from start to finish. You will work with a variety of tools, shovels, wheelbarrows, brick cutting saws, levels, tape measures and the owners will be on site to operate our small-scale heavy equipment.
- Job task planning, organizing order of operations and executing task.
- The ability to work with others in a positive manner in outdoor environments.
- The ability to work independently as well part of a cohesive unit for project completion.
- Using a measuring tape for making both large and small measurements.
- Following a landscape design plan to mark out areas for propped construction of various landscape projects.
- The ability to use a brick saw for cutting paving stone bricks or at least be comfortable enough to learn and competent enough to cut without causing injury
- The ability to use a shovel to move material and dig trenches for different landscape materials.
- Experience with setting levels for laying paving stones and building retaining walls with concrete cast retaining wall products.
- The ability to use a large landscape rake to move around various material efficiently.
- The ability to use a screed bar to set level and screed crusher dust for finishing layer on Paving Stone and Retaining Wall Projects.
- Experience with Irrigation Systems is an asset.
- The ability to use a wheelbarrow to move various materials such as topsoil, mulch, crusher rock etc.
