Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Production, this position is responsible for providing data based models supporting operations of the Production Department within the Company.
General Responsibilities
Participate as part of the production management team
Collecting and interpreting data
Identify patterns and trends within the data sets
Provide project specific analysis through data search and analysis of performance results
Develop a base understanding of operations, including operational procedures & processes
Participation within the R&D group
Develop a bench-marking metrics/system for highest opportunity areas within production
Participate within production task force groups, providing data analysis support
Other duties as required
Education/Experience Required
Post-Secondary degree with a focus on statistics, economics and/or financial analysis
Strong aptitude for statistical analysis
Ability to develop models supporting production processes
Strong presentation skills
Ability to identify opportunity areas and make recommendations
Strong computer skills in statistical programs, Excel, Citrix and PowerPoint
Understanding of Metafarms, Maximus data programs would be an asset
Ability to travel to production locations to gain understanding of production programs
Hog production experience would be an asset
Transportation/Travel Information
