Lloydminster hospital is seeking a surgical assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will require the appropriate licensing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan as well as a billing number with the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The position offered will consist of approximately a 0.5 FTE doing elective cases and a one third share in the full time call coverage schedule. Surgical Assistants will be remunerated by submitting their own fee for service billing to the SHA. Assists will be hired on a conditional basis, planning review of skills and performance at 6 weeks and 3 months prior to completion of the trial period. Our surgical services provided in Lloydminster include General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology and ENT. Experience in these areas is an asset, laparoscopic skills are a must.
