Job Description: The PACT (Police & Crisis Team) is a collaborative partnership between Mental Health & Addictions Services SHA and Municipal Police Services/RCMP. The goals of the project are to enhance public safety and care for individuals, families and households with mental health issues through the most effective assessment, triage and intervention beginning at the point of contact in the community. Under the direction of a Program Manager and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Assessor Coordinator Sr. - PACT Team works as part of the Police & Crisis Team. The Assessor Co-ordinator provides a complex range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to an adult community mental health and/or forensic population. The incumbent provides program consultation and co-ordination, evaluation of clinical interventions, supervision, preceptor students in formal clinical practicum, and provides professional and public education regarding mental health issues and resources. As a senior practitioner, acts as a resource for other professionals for mental health in the community.
Required Qualifications
Registered or eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
Valid drivers license and the ability to travel both within the Region and Provincially.
Recognized degree in Nursing, Social Work, or another Health or Health Service field
Experience
Three years related experience (postgraduate) in health or social sciences with two years recognized experience in working within a mental health service.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic computer skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Considerable work experience with mental health com
