Description

North Sask Victim Services Inc is a non-profit organization that provides police-based services in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District. The Executive Director (ED) is responsible to oversee and manage the daily delivery of the organization's mandate in accordance with the vision, mission and strategic plan of the NSVS Board.
Based out of the La Ronge RCMP CTA Detachment, ED key responsibilities include:
*Develop and maintain relationships with media, the public and key stakeholders, particularly the Ministry of Justice and the RCMP
*Manage human resources and develop a collaborative team-based approach to provide optimum service to vulnerable clients
*Continual review of best practice in the human service industry specific to interpersonal violence and trauma
*Build staff culture emphasizing wellness and healing from vicarious trauma
*Support Board in carrying out governance functions
*Develop and maintain operational plans and budgets
*Reinforce compliance with operational policy, record keeping and information management systems
*Ensure accountability through the preparation of reports and program evaluation for all stakeholders
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, and the ability to build community partnerships. As well as a degree in the human services field with five years of senior management experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience), the candidate will ideally possess:
*Experience in non-profit setting with knowledge of policy governance, grant writing, fund development and applicable legislation and regulations
*Knowledge of needs, organizations, and resources related to victim service programs
*Familiarity with counselling theories and practices, budgets, accounting and HR management
*Knowledge of Northern and Indigenous cultures, identities and languages
*Knowledge of current federal inquiries and appliance of recommendations
