WHAT YOULL DO
As Administrative Assistant for Piwapan Womens Centre, youll be responsible for a full range of administrative duties as well as the general support of the Executive Director and Finance Manager.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administration relating to the maintenance and management of 2nd stage apartments, such as reviewing applications, administering contract signing, conducting unit inspections, setting up and monitoring payments, and arranging the necessary repairs and maintenance to upkeep the property
- Answer phones & greet visitors
- Collect & distribute mail
- Prepare communications, such as meeting minutes, memos, emails, invoices, reports, and other correspondence
- Write & edit documents such as letters, reports, and instructional documents
- Create & maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Processing of payroll
- General clean up of kitchen and office area
CRITICAL SKILLS
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of office equipment and procedures
- An understanding of the cultural diversity of clients we serve
- Strong organizational skills
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Grade 12
- 1-2 years experience in office administration
- Experience in using Simply Accounting program
- Must have a valid Drivers License
COMPENSATION
- $21.65/hr
- Benefits package after 3 months
