Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc. (MLMP) is the world's first successful zero-effluent-discharge market pulp mill that is a state-of-the-art, chlorine-free bleached chemi-thermo mechanical pulp (BCTMP) facility employing 192 employees with annual production capacity of 420,000 ADMT. The mill operates 24 hours a day and 365 days of the year.

Reporting to the Steam & Recovery Shift Team Leader, you will work with the assistance of the shift team being responsible for operating assigned equipment in a safe and efficient manner. The S&R Day Shift Operator is also accountable for all actions and performance to the Shift Team Leader and will report non-conformances on a priority basis.

The S&R Day Shift Operator will be responsible for three key areas:
- Smelt dissolving and related equipment
- Dregs removal (dregs pump, dumpster, guide loader in/out of building)
- Bulk Chemical Offloading

Qualifications:
- Must possess or be actively working towards an Inter-provincial Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate
- Industrial experience along with previous heavy equipment operations is an asset
- Flexible, well organized and ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A high sense of urgency with regards to operational requirements
