Description

Porcupine Opportunities Program, a non-profit organization that supports adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, is seeking a Night Shift Full Time Residential Program Staff for their residents in Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan.
The Residential Program Staff Member(s) will provide a home-like atmosphere with a high quality of care to residents of the Porcupine Opportunities Program.  This is accomplished by allowing for maximum independence and a high quality of life for each individual.  In addition, Residential Program Staff ensures all residents are given the opportunity for as much community integration possible.

Responsibilities:
- Developing, prioritizing, and implementing daily activity plans for residents in concert with others;
- Assisting all residents with their daily routines including hygiene needs;
- Planning and providing well-balanced, nutritional meals with residents needs in mind;
- Ensuring that cleaning and laundry is done as required and that participants are included in daily chores whenever it is possible and appropriate.
- Work in partnership with other staff to ensure the needs of residents are met.

Qualifications
- Ability to work with multiple program participants while remaining focused on individuals needing individual attention and care.    
- Ability to both follow instructions and to think and act independently when needed.  
- Willingness to do duties as assigned in a safe and timely manner.
- Effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and clients.
- Help lift and support participants, if needed.
- Preference will be given to individuals with post-secondary training and/or experience in a profession related to working with individuals with disabilities and/or health care.
- Possess a valid drivers license.
- Ability to work both day and night shifts
