Description

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
    Supervise account coding and verify signatures for proper assignment of budgetary expenditures.
    Ensure that all month-end financial duties and resulting financial reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
    Record all business transactions, process accruals and adjustments, reconcile accounts, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and financial statements.
    Prepare financial statements and bank reconciliations.
    Assist in developing and maintaining policy and procedures relating to financial and accounting issues.
    Assist General Manager of Keethanow Group of Businesses in audit conducted by third parties to ensure effective resolution and swift closure of auditing activities.
    Investigate variances in budgets, reporting, internal controls, and general accounting; deploy measures to resolve variances.
    Supervise financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, financial planning, and reporting.
    Assist General Manager of Keethanow Group of Businesses in the preparation and recording of the Departmental budgets into the Accounting Systems.
    Supervise and assist in the development and maintenance of accounting files and records.

The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
    Degree or a diploma in finance management.
    Three years of experience in finance and administration.
    Sound knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls.
    Demonstrated time management skills.
    Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
    High level of integrity and excellent work ethic.
    Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
    Strong leadership skills.
    Advanced proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet programs and applications
    Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
    Compliance oriented.
    Auditing experience.
    Strong analytical skills.
