Description

PARTNERS Family Services is accepting applications for the position of Crisis Worker. PARTNERS staff provide a safe, confidential and welcoming environment that assists individuals and families to meet their immediate and on going needs.

This is a full time permanent position that will compliment the existing crisis response team. Scope of practice will focus on immediate crisis response to individuals experiencing mental health or personal crisis, and those experiencing interpersonal violence.
Frequent travel within a 100km radius of Humboldt is required.  

Requirements:
- BSW, BISW, M.Psych, or equivalent
- A minimum of two years in a professional capacity providing crisis intervention to individuals experiencing acute mental health or personal crisis
- Strong knowledge of Child and Family Services Act, Mental Health Services Act, Victims of Interpersonal Violence Act and other relevant legislation
-Competent in a variety of counselling modalities including solution focused and brief therapy
- Experience working with youth and adults experiencing acute mental health crisis
-Experience collaborating and with internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordination of services to clients
- Strong team work capacity, highly organized, and capable of managing varied demands
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor
- Excellent writing skills, time management, communication and file management skills
- Computer competencies
- Certified in First Aid, CPR, ASIST and NVCI
- Use of personal vehicle including 2mil in liability insurance
-Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector screening
