Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
Prepare food order for restaurant customers as well as catering events
Create kitchen work schedules
Maintain records of inventory
Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
Supervise daily procedures within the kitchen among all staff members
Ensure that food and service meet quality expectations of the restaurant
Ensure kitchen labour and food cost is maintained within profitable margins
