JOB SUMMARY:
Located on the Cowessess First Nation, the KAwasis Daycare is seeking two highly motivated, nurturing individuals to join their team as a Daycare Educator, working primarily with infants. This position will report to the Daycare Coordinator and is overall accountable to the Director of Education. They will be responsible for all aspects related to the development of the infants learning skills, hygiene, health, welfare, and safety. The Daycare Educator is also responsible for the planning and application of a well-balanced program of activities for the age group assigned to them.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Education is preferred
-Willing to take training and work within a team environment
-Ability to plan and organize daily activities designed to stimulate intellectual, physical, spiritual and emotional growth of infants
-Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
-Punctual, reliable, and ensure confidential matters remain confidential
-Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary
-Willing to submit a vulnerable sector criminal record check
