Description

Duties and responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to all departments at SaskAbilities Swift Current branch while performing full reception, switchboard, and dispatching duties.  

Duties include:
-  Answers and directs a multi-line switchboard, directing calls to appropriate employees and departments
-  Coordinates daily Transit bookings, maintains Transit scheduling, and dispatches drivers
-  Provides information for general enquiries made in person, by phone, or by email
-  Oversees cash sales receipts for all departments and generates invoices through accounting system
-  Prepares monies received for deposit and reconciliation reporting
-  Facilitates the processing of accounts payable invoices and statements
-  Other clerical tasks as needed

Qualifications:
Education:
-  Business College Certificate (Minimum 1-year)
Experience:
-  Prior work in office setting, including reception  6 months
Skills:
-  Basic accounting skills
-  Multi-line telephone technical and verbal skills
-  Must have the ability to be interrupted by the phone and still stay focused on existing tasks
-  Medium level computer skills - database, spreadsheets, word processing- and strong keyboarding/ data entry skills
-  Effective verbal interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to deal with staff and customers
-  Able to work independently and strong detail focus to avoid potential errors in data entry

Final Candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search.
