Description

Duties include (but not limited to):

    Create and produce audio-visual materials in Cree Language and Culture.
    Record all Cree language and culture events.
    Collect and archive LLRIB special events when requested and/or approved by immediate supervisor.
    Collect Elders knowledge.
    Assist CRU staff in Cree Language and Culture resource development.
    Set-up audio-visual equipment for education staff when requested and/or approved by immediate supervisor.
    Assist in organizing an annual Cultural Event for each Band School.
    Find ways to explain the objectives and the importance of the Cultural Program to the Band communities.
    Prepare and promote displays of Curriculum Resource Unit materials at conferences and workshops.
    Assist in planning activities, workshops and meetings with the CRU staff.

Job Requirements

    Must have Grade 12 diploma or its equivalent;
    Basic knowledge in creating and developing videos
    Proven working experience in Recording and Editing Videos;
    Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, object orientated programming, and web application development;
    Interest in the latest developments in web, news, and social media, as well as passion for the LLRIBs mandate and the issues that are important to our members;
    Flexibility and ability to multi-task with continually changing timelines and priorities;
    Ability to speak and understand Cree is an asset
    Must have Valid Drivers License;
    Must obtain Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and Drivers Abstract upon hire;
