Bourgault Industries is looking for a detail-oriented team player to join our HR team as a Payroll/HR Team Member! This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of HR & payroll tasks and projects, in order to provide support to the team as required.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll in an efficient and accurate manner, meeting required deadlines
- Perform HR administrative duties and ensure all employee files and benefits are current and accurate
- Represent the company capably with integrity to safeguard its interest in processing vital and confidential information
- Communicate directly with employees and supervisors in a professional manner
- Other payroll and general HR tasks and projects, as assigned by the HR Team Leader
Qualifications:
- Degree, Certificate or Diploma in Business or Human Resources is a strong asset
- 2-5 years of experience in Payroll, Human Resources, Accounting and/or General Business is a strong asset
- Strong organizational abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of payroll databases and programs
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to perform accurate work with a high attention to detail
- Working knowledge of relevant payroll & benefits programs, recruitment practices, labour standards, and/or recruitment practices is a strong asset.
