Zak's Building Group is hiring a Structural Engineer to work with the design team of our construction group. Applicants must be a registered professional engineer with APEGS, have structural design experience, and general construction knowledge.

- Structural design knowledge (Part 4 NBCC)
- Building code knowledge (Parts 3 and 9 NBCC)
- Energy code knowledge (9.36 Small Buildings & NECB)
- Drafting capability (AutoCAD and/or Revit)

Job Responsibilities:
- Design-build projects including residential, light commercial, and industrial
- Produce structural and architectural drawings sets with our in-house drafting team
- Manage engineering consultants (i.e. mechanical, electrical, energy)
- NBCC code review for residential and commercial projects
- Site inspections and field reports
- Document control (i.e. specifications, shop drawings, O&M Manuals)
- Permitting construction projects
- Field engineering of foundations, columns, beams, load-bearing walls, etc.
- Drafting of architectural and engineering design drawings
- Engineering consulting for contractor supply customers
