Description

LLRIB Health Services Department is now inviting applications for a Full Time Term, Medical Transportation Coordinator based in the community of La Ronge. Under the supervision of the Health Director, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient coordination of the Medical Transportation program in accordance with the First Nations Inuit Health (FNIH) Non Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) guidelines.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide Medical Transportation benefits to clients in a manner consistent with the NIHB directives and guidelines
Ensure support to clientele throughout the process (i.e. obtain/submit information, completion of forms, provide clients with notice of appointments and travel, etc.)
Develop and monitor annual budgets and yearly program planning
Develop proposals, reports, service delivery models and track statistical information
Assist in development and/or implementation of community health plan, strategic plan and evaluation
Provide supervision and direction to Medical Transportation staff
Maintain positive public relations with clients; Work effectively with the health care team
Effective conflict resolution, problem solving and ability to work under pressure                                                                    
Requirements
Minimum Diploma in Admin/health related field or equivalent; 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience A combination of Education and Experience may be considered
Demonstrate computer knowledge in Microsoft Word/Excel
Excellent organizational skills; Ability to work within multidisciplinary team
Must possess a class 5 drivers license
Ability to speak/understand Cree is an asset
Experience working with FN organizations and/or communities is an asset
Understanding of rural/remote communities and their challenges/barriers
Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening and Drivers Abstract required upon hire.
