Job Description: Reporting to the EMS Manager the Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergent calls for service, provide initial assessment, treatment and transport of ill or injured persons.
Required Qualifications

First Aid certificate
CPR Level C certificate
Valid Class 4 drivers license
Grade 10
Registered with Saskatchewan Health as an Emergency Medical Responder
Experience
Previous: No previous experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Interpersonal skills
Communication skills
Ability to communicate in a cross-cultural setting, where required by the job

No guaranteed hours. Must be available a minimum of two (2) days per week. Must be available all shifts, short shifts, short notice calls, stats & holidays.  
EMT Blend positions are a combination of Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) and EMT shifts. This position requires the successful applicant to meet the CCA & EMT Qualifications.  
Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.  
CMA accredited Pre-Hospital Care Program at the Primary Care paramedic (PCP/EMT) level.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
If no qualified applicants, you may be considered as a conditional hire if willing to complete Continuing Care Assistant certificate by an accredited institution within two years of start date.  For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.
