Temporary:  May 3, 2021  December 17, 2021

An employee in this temporary student position will provide technical support for a variety of field and/or office assignments within the Infrastructure Planning Group, assisting with the Inspections and Operator Logs Application, Asset Management and Field Inspections for the water management infrastructure across the province.  Typical duties and responsibilities may include:

Implementation, data collection and verification, historical backfilling, and maintenance of the Inspection and Operator Logs Application;
Maintain asset registry for all water management infrastructure;
Assist with field inspections;
Assist with the Asset Management Program for water management infrastructure.

Maintaining and analyzing inspection information for our 72 dams and related canals and pump sites is critical to the provincial asset integrity.  This position will support the Structural, Geotechnical, Dam Safety and Operations & Maintenance Inspections on our provincial water management assets.

Work may require travel to the field.  Travel, sustenance, and accommodations will be provided when required to work away from headquarters.  Applicants will require a valid drivers license.

Applicants should be enrolled in one of the following engineer technology co-operative education programs:  Civil or Water Resources Engineering Technology.  Applicants require knowledge of MS Office Suite, skill in written and verbal communications, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
