Full-time Cattle Herdsperson position on a mixed farm near Kincaid SK (SE 5 9 8 W3).

Spruce Meadow Farms Ltd. (Box 186, Kincaid SK, S0H 2J0) is a family run livestock and grain farm with a 350 cow-calf operation seeking a dedicated worker with experience working with cattle to join our team.  Individual should have a minimum of 2 years experience, be reliable, self-motivated and understand long work hours during peak seasons.  No formal education is required.  Wage: $18.00-20.00 CAD/hr based on experience.  40-60 hours per week.  Salary increase based on performance and season.

Duties and skills include:
    Feed and tend to livestock, detect disease and health problems in livestock, assist with calving
    Assess cattle for culling
    Rearing cattle
    Maintaining livestock performance records
    Mixing feed rations and manage pasture for proper grazing
    Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
    Maintain, repair feedlot buildings, corrals and fence
    Experience operating medium to large farm equipment as well as repairing and maintaining them
    Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
    Perform general farm duties
    Must be capable of lifting  up to 100 lbs
    Valid Class 5 drivers license
