Facility: MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
Job Description: Responsible for Medical Social Work services, to assist patients and their families with psychosocial issues which may contribute to, or be associated with a health diagnosis, and to provide optimal utilization of health care resources. Responsible for maintaining a caseload in Mental Health services.  Counseling, assessment, and treatment planning for Mental Health referrals.  Job description is available upon request.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Valid drivers license and the ability to travel both within the Region and Provincially.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Interpersonal skills
Organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Presentation skills
Case management skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of models of therapeutic interventions appropriate to the treatment of child and adolescent mental health and family functioning
Computer skills including Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheets, email and internet
Knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act
Proficient assessment, counseling, and case management skills.
