The Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre is seeking to hire a full-time Extrusion Operator.
The Extrusion Program helps food companies manufacture food products using extrusion technology. Extrusion technology is a way to reshape food ingredients into snacks, breakfast cereals, alternative meat products, among others. The Saskatchewan Food Centre helps entrepreneurs and established companies with their technical production needs.
The Extrusion Operator will be an active participant in the Extrusion Program to help companies manufacture extruded products. Activities will include set-up and tear-down of the extrusion line, operating an extruder and auxiliary equipment (dryers, mixers, seasoning application equipment, among others).
The Extrusion Operator will have the following skills and abilities:
An ability to learn quickly
Mechanically-inclined
An ability to document equipment settings and observations
Maintain a food safe facility
An ability to follow food safety, quality and OH&S protocols
Strong verbal communication skills.
A self-starter, enthusiastic and energetic with an ability to set time sensitive goals and to achieve outcomes.
