Description

Applications are currently being invited for the permanent position of Bylaw Enforcement Officer. Reporting to the Director of Planning & Development Services, this role will ensure compliance with applicable municipal bylaws for the City of Prince Albert by performing enforcement tasks, bylaw interpretation and related administrative duties. Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparation and issuance of summary offence tickets, notices of violation, warning
letters, orders to comply and any other related documentation.
Respond to inquiries and investigate complaints relating to Municipal Bylaws.
Gather and compile information and documentation to support Legal Counsel on Bylaw
related matters. Tasks include but are not limited gathering documentation, testifying
and preparing briefs.
Attendance at meetings or provision of testimony at hearings on Bylaw matters as
required.
Participation in neighborhood strengthening and community awareness initiatives.
Complete regular Bylaw Activity Statistics
Provide assistance related to Animal Control Services as required.
Interpret and explain bylaws, policies and regulations pertaining to bylaw matters.

Required Qualifications:
Certificate or Diploma in Bylaw, Law, Law Enforcement or Legal field, or;
A minimum of a Grade 12 education with two (2) years of related experience.
Must hold a valid Class 5 drivers license with the Province of Saskatchewan.
Must be willing to take applicable safety and job-related programs/courses.
