Description

Thorpe Industries Ltd,  is a growing construction company in Prince Albert.  We are hiring an Administrative/Payroll Clerk who can assist us with our growing company. We are looking for a person who is meticulous with details, task oriented, exceptional people skills, enjoys challenges and someone who will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

This role also provides support to both Human Resources and Accounting

As the successful applicant you will:
Have Completed a Post Secondary program with classes in payroll, Human Resources and Accounting
Have 3 - 5 years of experience in payroll administration capacity
Be proficient in MS Office products such as MS Word and Excel
Maintain a level of confidentiality and discretion at all times
Have excellent time management with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
Have exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills
In this exciting role, you will:
Process weekly and year-end payroll for salaried and hourly based employees in a timely and accurate manner
Data entry of timesheets, supplemental and vacation requests
Provide high-end customer service to employees regarding their pay and benefits queries
Administer the employee Group Benefit Plan including new hire set-up, employee record maintenance and status changes
Reconciliation of recurring payroll and benefit accounts and statements
Maintain employee personnel files
Prepare T4s
Prepare all Government remittances for submission
Process ROEs
Respond in a timely manner to all internal and external requests and inquiries
Assist with the Onboarding process for new employees
Post job ads on online sites
All other administrative tasks as assigned by management
