Facility: CYPRESS REGIONAL HOSPITAL
Job Description: Reporting to the Senior Medical Officer, the Medical Affairs Coordinator is responsible for the planning, policy and program initiatives related to physician services within the former Cypress Health Region. He/she is the liaison between physicians working in the former Cypress Health Region and the Regional Administration. Tasks include overseeing physician recruitment and retention initiatives, developing recruitment messaging, advertisements, and packages, collaborating with community leaders and physicians on physician recruitment plans, facilitating physician orientation processes, directing physician human resource planning, coordinating the appointment, reappointment and privileging of practitioner staff, assisting in the administration of the specialist on call program, physician contract negotiation, and general medical administration.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree or Diploma in a healthcare, education, social sciences, or business related field, or working toward same.
Experience
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic direction and leadership to physicians and health care leaders
Capacity to build relationships and networks within physician groups and with other health care personnel
Ability to oversee projects, work as part of a team, and meet expected deadlines in a complex and varied environment
A broad understanding of the Saskatchewan health care system and Canadian Immigration system is an asset
Must be culturally competent and able to work with people of diverse backgrounds and perspectives
