Summary:
The General Manager is responsible to oversee the operational activities of 2 Gas Station Locations. This includes inventory management and point of sale systems. Evaluate and direct associate managers and supervisors at each location. Monitor operations to ensure regulatory requirements are met i.e. environmental requirements. Liaison and serve as a main point of contact with vendors and Petro-Canada. Identify operating efficiencies and make recommendations to the COO.
Job Duties:
Promote excellent customer service through leadership and leading by example.
Ensure that all goods and products are adequately stocked through inventory management systems.
Ensure the effective planning of inventory control, and store maintenance.
Implement and recommend to management sales promotions, clearances, discount plans, displays, and other customer attractions.
Advise senior management of any issues that may affect operations.
Liaison and point of contact with vendors providing feedback to suppliers, buyers, and warehouses regarding customer opinions, buying trends and other pertinent information.
Pick-up of daily receipts, invoices, invoices, reports and delivery of coin and supplies as required to the store locations.
Provide progress reports and feedback to management on operating efficiencies.
Provide reports to COO
Daily cash sheet reconciliation and counts.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Minimum of high school diploma or GED Equivalent, with university degree or college diploma preferred.
Minimum of 3- years experience in retail management role.
Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control techniques and procedures.
Able to consistently represent the company in a professional manner.
Knowledge of software systems and data entry.
Sound judgment and strong decision making skills.
Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to retail practices.
Knowledge of policy and procedure development.
