Description

Livestock Services of Saskatchewan is a non-profit organization that facilitates the delivery of livestock brand inspection services, manages the brand registry and administers the licensing of livestock dealers in Saskatchewan.  We are member owned and directed by the five livestock producer groups who require inspection services across the province.  With a base in Regina and province-wide network of seasoned Inspectors operating from a variety of field locations, we have well positioned LSS to expand and enhance the level of commerce security we provide to the industry.

LSS District Managers provide day-to-day technical leadership and guidance to ensure consistent delivery of inspection services across the district, and ongoing mentorship and development for each Inspector in the district to ensure an adept and engaged team.  Our District Managers play a key role in positively impacting internal and external relationships, instilling LSS values, meeting our legislative obligations and responding to the evolving changes across the district and industry.

North West District inspection services are provided at three auction markets and on numerous feedlots, assembly-yards, processing plants and ranches and farms.  The District Manager will ideally work from one of our higher volume locations.

To succeed in this unique opportunity, you must bring a firm understanding of our province's livestock sector combined with considerable prior leadership in the industry, preferably in inspection and identification, along with relevant education gained either formally or informally.  You are a proven leader, mentor and team player who understands that the strength of the team translates into the success of the business.  A progressive big-picture thinker, you value working alongside your Inspectors and clients to earn credibility, build trust and drive compliance.
