David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our customer to recruit a VP of Technology. Our customer is looking for a charismatic individual with experience leading a team and functioning as a full-stack developer.

Their head office is in Saskatoon, but this is a fully remote position - the only requirement is that you must be living in Canada.

The Role:
Lead, manage and develop the Development Team including hiring, training, evaluating and guiding
Manage financial aspects of the department including purchasing, budgeting and budget review
Strategic, forward thinker with the ability to make and justify decisions
Optimize data structures and queries on the backend
Improve user onboarding
Create internal developer tools to increase DX and productivity
Work with third-party vendors to integrate into the platform

A natural leader who loves to coach and mentor and has experience leading a team
An entrepreneurial and innovative spirit
Can take a feature from ideation to design and have opinions on everything from infrastructure requirements to user experience.
Ability to discuss technical issues effectively with end-users and investors
Experience with Node.js, Next.js and React Native
