McDougall Acres is a progressive pedigreed seed farm and processing plant, located minutes from Moose Jaw, looking for an experienced farm equipment operator who wants to work in a positive team environment and can operate John Deere equipment during the growing season. Grain movement and maintenance during the offseason. Position starting wage range is $24 - $30/hour and is dependent upon applicants demonstrated level of experience.
Successful applicant:
* Has a working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of agricultural equipment, specifically spraying & seeding, including the operation of GPS and Auto-steer equipment.
* Works safely, adhering to safe farm practices when handling chemicals, tools and operating equipment.
* Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
* Can demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making skills.
* Must be able to maintain accurate field records.
* Ability to calculate spraying rates using conversions and label instructions.
* Can work as a team player as well as independently.
* Is willing to work longer hours during seeding and harvest periods.
* Applicant must have a valid Class 1A driver's license with a clean abstract.
