As a member of the Lighthouse Client Care team, and under the direction of the Manager of Client Services, the primary goal of this position is to encourage, facilitate, maintain and enhance the recovery process with people who struggle with addiction and/or addiction related issues. The Addictions Counsellor engages with clients, develops a helping relationship, implements various recovery modalities and accesses community services to the benefit of the client. Responsibilities include providing informational services as well as individual and group counselling for clients. This position is expected to assess individual and group client needs and implement plans to help clients reach their goals.
