Job Description: The Occupational Health Nurse is accountable for assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of the health and risks for Health Care
Providers employed with Saskatchewan Health Authority. The Occupational Health Nurse integrates clinical expertise with occupational health and
public health methodologies to provide confident, ethical, autonomous decisions to fulfill the Occupational Health Nurse scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Occupational Health or Public Health Nursing
Other: Registration or eligibility for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association
Maintenance of required competencies related to management of anaphylaxis and immunization administration
CPR Health Care Provider
Ability to apply advanced computer skills
Possession of a valid Class 5 drivers license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Problem solving skills
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Advanced leadership skills
Computer skills in such programs as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
Ability to work in a collaborative and consultative manner
Ability to prioritize, interpret, and respond to issues in a timely and appropriate manner
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
