Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Quality, Risk and Safety this position is responsible for supporting organizational and individual health and wellness. The position has three strategic responsibilities: 1) Advancing the health and wellness of those working in the region through the development, administration and implementation of region wide occupational safety programs, 2) Advancing the health of the organization by leading programs and initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and supporting transformational change and 3) Ensuring adequate infection control policies, procedures and practices 4) Advancing organizational learning through the design and delivery of targeted training in the areas of occupational health and safety, employee performance and crucial conversations.
The above functions are all carried out in the context of the Mission and vision Statements as well as the Goals and Objectives of the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in the field of training including course design, development and adult/education learning styles and a strong working knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree of Science in Health or Allied Health Sciences or recognized equivalent required.
Community and Hospital Infection Control Association (CHICA) Canada member is preferred.
Certification from the Certification Board of Infection Control (CBIC) an asset.
Occupation Health & Safety Practitioner Certificate an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, conflict resolution, public and human relations management skills.
