Description

Redekop Manufacturing has an immediate opening in the Engineering Department for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at our Head Office in Saskatoon, SK.
Responsibilities
    Project ownership, taking ideas from concept to production ready design. Activities will include concept creation, prototyping, field testing and analysis, drawing creation, BOM entry and cost analysis.
    Design of rotating equipment, mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and belt drive systems.
    Stress analysis, FEA, calculations and other engineering related work to ensure proper design.
    Works closely with the manufacturing and marketing departments in a team environment.
    Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
    5+ years of design experience in a product engineering environment with emphasis in mechanical or agricultural disciplines.
    Experience in hydraulic systems, belt drives, rotating equipment design and/or agriculture equipment design.
    Knowledge of, and demonstrated ability to use Creo Parametric, Solidworks, and/or Inventor.
    Excellent computer skills with knowledge of ERP systems (EPICOR or SAP).
    Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Machine Design.
    Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
    Results orientated and capacity to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
    Knowledge and operation of agricultural equipment.
    Farming experience is an asset.
