Description

Greg Moore of Rosetown SK, is looking to hire 1 Farm Foreman who can oversee and mentor seasonal help in the day-to-day operations of a grain farm. The successful applicant would also be required to operate and maintain sprayer, tractors and other modern farm equipment, and assist in all aspects of farming operation - equipment and building maintenance, seeding, spraying, harvesting, fall work, grain drying and grain hauling.

Requirement: No formal education; experience managing or supervising general farm workers; experience operating large farm equipment; fluent in English language; mechanically-inclined; ability to complete physically demanding tasks such as bending, crouching, kneeling and handling heavy loads; when necessary, willing to work long hours at crucial times of growing season; can work independently with minimal supervision; a team-player; has desire to learn new skills and adopt new technologies; with valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.

Employment details: Full-time for 2 years; employment start date as soon as possible; wage $25/hour; average 30 hours of work per week, more hours during peak periods; 2 weeks paid vacation for every year of employment completed; benefits according to applicable federal and provincial labour standards and workplace safety insurance are provided; accommodation available.
