Duties and Responsibilities

- Read documents, computer screens, blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Perform MIG weld based on project requirements
- Tack and weld components
- Operate shop equipment as required including saws, drills, grinders, etc.
- Produce components and assemblies as per specified requirements
- Perform general preventative maintenance of weld equipment
- Perform quality inspections
- Keep a tidy and clean work area
- Maintain safe work practices
- Regulate machine factors such as Wire type, gas flow, fixture locations
- Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
-Maintain quality objectives and verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results as needed
