The Rural Municipality of Browning No. 34 is currently seeking a Pest Control Officer.
Scope of Services
This is a seasonal contract position. The contract sum to be negotiated. The contractor shall examine all occupied and unoccupied agricultural sites carefully and locate areas of critical pest activity. The contractor shall thoroughly treat areas of infestation or threatened infestation.
It is required that the contract shall be a licensed pesticide applicator in the category of: Structural Rat Control and continue with maintaining current training and licenses.
The contractor shall be fully responsible for arranging adequate insurance cover for all risks arising out of performance of its services under this Contract.
The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, applicators, device, equipment and supplies including vehicles that are not provided by the RM for the performance of its services. Such tools, applicators, device, equipment and supplies must be kept in good working order at all times.
The contractor must adhere to, and comply with, all provincial guidelines, regulations and legislation.

Specific Skills
- Advise clients on how to prevent pest infestation
- Place and set traps to capture and remove animals
- Inspect buildings and outside areas to detect signs of infestation
- Determine type of treatment required
- Clean out areas that harbour pests
