Description

Reporting to the Team Manager, Technology Governance, this position is responsible for driving focus and prioritization within the IT division, by establishing strategic planning and governance principles and processes, with particular focus on IT asset and licensing management.

Analyse technologies, licenses, and procurement.
Reviews IT costs and cost structures for service, and products so the financial implications of projects and activities are communicated to the proper IT and business executives.
Partner with all areas of IT to provide technology vision, and direction for the enterprise; Establish strategy and governance principles and processes for the IT division.
Development and maintain IT policies, procedures, methodologies and governance; provide performance management frameworks and metrics to ensure the IT unit delivers value to the enterprise.
Participate in audit, risk evaluation and compliance management processes.
Work with the CIO and business leadership team, providing broad insight to IT domains and capabilities in support of enterprise-wide decisions.
Drives and facilitates collaboration and communications between the IT organization, the user, and customer communities.
Stays current with developments in industry trends, and innovation in technology policy, IT operating models, and service level standards.
May participate in the execution of high impact, enterprise-wide strategic programs or initiatives.
May establish and implement continuous-improvement programs for the IT organization.
May participate in IT engagement planning and implementation and workforce development; includes sourcing, training and assisting in the development of staff.

To be successful in this position you will need the completion of a diploma in Computer Science, supplemented by five years experience in data asset and licensing.
