Communications Officer

This communications position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a broad range of skills. You will work with a high-functioning, successful, communications and marketing team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, creative and able to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously. You are a strong writer with Canadian Press (CP-style) experience. You have managed large-scale projects and campaigns, and are comfortable managing multiple strategic marketing, communications, social media and event management priorities, simultaneously. Job Summary

In this position, you will join a team that supports the marketing and communication needs of multiple departments within the WCB and WorkSafe. Project work will be varied and provide you exposure to a wide variety of experience related to marketing and communications, event management, social media, design and public relations.

Qualifications
Two (2) years successfully completed post-secondary education in Business, Public Relations and/or Marketing
    
Minimum of four (4) years successful experience demonstrating the ability to do the following:

-Demonstrated ability to multitask and effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
-Develop, plan and execute marketing and communications projects
-Broad understanding of advertising planning and management
-Strong understanding of digital media marketing, social media and interpreting analytics
-Creative eye with exposure to graphic design work
-Event planning and management
-Strong communication abilities (written/web based)
-Strong written skills and proficiency in Canadian Press (CP) style
-Experience in budget management
