DSI Contracting is looking for a unique individual with a wide set of skills to add to our team. This individual will possess the following skills/attributes.
2-3 years experience in an office setting
Problem Solver
Ability to work under pressure with many firm deadlines
Ability to work alone and with a team
Ability to work in a fast paced environment that is constantly changing
Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
Must have experience working in an accounting position and with an accounting program
Must be willing to learn and adapt to the construction industry
Skills/Knowledge that would be considered and asset but not required:
Knowledge of Sage 100 accounting software
Knowledge of Construction Safety, workplace safety
CSO or NCSO Certification
Certificate in Accounting
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Reception duties- answering phone, taking messages, foot traffic, typing letters and important correspondence, mailing
Accounting Duties data entry, invoicing, bank and credit card reconciliation, remitting to government agencies, cheque runs, reporting
Safety Working on company safety program, keeping up to date and ensuring employees are filling out paperwork. This role may require some education classes provided by DSI
