Responsibilities Include:
Prepare various legal documents from notes, voice mail, email, and dictation;
Organize and coordinate lawyers' schedules;
Enter lawyers' time-sheet and process monthly client billing;
Open, maintain, and close files in a timely fashion;
Photocopy, fax, and scan documents;
Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner;
Follow office policies and standard procedures.
Qualifications:
Legal Assistant diploma or related with 3+ years of experience in a law firm;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel;
Document management and practice management software experience;
A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
Family Law or Civil Law experience considered an asset.
