Reporting to the Executive Director, Citizen Experience, Innovation & Performance, the Director, People & Organizational Culture (POC) provides vision, leadership, expertise, project management and consistency in the delivery of human resource services to the City. The Director ensures effective and efficient management and development of HR policies, practices, and processes, and supports a work environment aligned with the objectives and culture of the organization. The Director is responsible for the system-wide human resource function. Major areas of involvement include strategy, planning, employee engagement, and full spectrum of HR disciplines including labour relations and contract negotiations, workforce and succession planning, talent acquisition, learning and development, health and safety, job evaluation, compensation, payroll and benefits, diversity and inclusion and policy development. As a member of the Citys senior management team, the Director leads and/or participates in corporate-wide policy, planning and special projects. The Director participates on the Divisional leadership team contributing to the integration of strategy, people, process and technology.
