Position Summary: Under the direction of and reporting to the Farm Supervisor, the Farm Worker will assist in the day-to-day operations of the farm.
Duties include:
Plant, fertilize, cultivate, spray, and harvest crops
Operate, maintain and repair farm machinery and equipment
Hauling and transport product to market and to the field
Treating seed
Help manage grain inventories by monitoring, moving, blending, etc.
Maintain, repair and clean buildings and bins
Maintain roads and farmyards (mowing, grading, trimming, spraying, plow snow, etc)
Provide accurate data for digital production and maintenance records
General farm duties as assigned.
Requirements:
This position requires at least 2 - 4 years relevant hands on experience including running a broad range of farm equipment.
Class 1A License is highly recommended
Ability to carry out maintenance and repairs on farm equipment is necessary.
Successful candidate will be able to work successfully within a team environment as well as work independently.
Successful candidate is willing to work longer hours during seeding, spraying and harvest.
