Description

Responsibilities:
- Identify and report problems which occur in the manufacture of the product, including investigating quality problems, determining source of problem and taking necessary steps to assure corrective action.
- Analyze field failure reports and returned parts to determine source of error and initiate appropriate corrective action to preclude reoccurrence.
- Review Engineering releases for tolerances as related to the manufacture and inspection of the product, including reviewing blueprints and working with Engineering personnel on revising designs to simplify manufacturing and /or inspection.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs which assure or improve existing product quality.
- Provide quality assurance support and input to other manufacturing departments, suppliers and product engineering programs.
- Plan and perform incoming and in-process inspection of purchased parts through different production processes escalating as required depending upon production and customer impact.
- Driving robust corrective actions at purchased part suppliers through collaborative reactive, preventive and proactive projects.
- To continually strive for achievement of Safety, Quality and Productivity metrics as dictated.

Qualifications:
- A Degree/diploma in Engineering, or similar technical field.
- Proficient in the use of computer applications such as Microsoft Office
- A working knowledge of manufacturing practices and procedures and inspection methods
- Strong organizational skills, extremely self-motivated, and able to work well in a team setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A working knowledge of statistical processes would be considered an asset
- Experience in manufacturing, agriculture or heavy machinery with knowledge in Quality/lean tools, manufacturing/quality/design engineering would be an asset.
