Cara Dawn Transport Ltd. Located at 1512 N Fleet Street, Regina, Saskatchewan is currently looking for 3 Heavy Haul/Over dimension Truck Drivers

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time, Day, Night, Shift Work & Weekend

Salary:$35.00/hour or $.52/mile (single) whichever is greater depending on experience

Experience: 3-5 years experience required

Education:
-Extensive experience in open deck freight required
-Valid Class 1A Licence

Start Date: ASAP

Main Duties:
-Driving, loading and unloading of heavy construction equipment and agricultural equipment in North America but primaraly in western Canada and north western US with six or more axles.
-Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety and security of cargo
-Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, brakes and engine compartment
-Perform emergency roadside repairs (excluding tires)
-Co-ordinate with our permit department of special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
-Record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information in log book or on on-board computer
-Communicate with dispatch and other drivers using two-way radio, cellular telephone and on-board computer
-May drive as part of a convoy
-May transport hazardous products or dangerous goods.
