Description

Wallins Bigway Foods is Looking for a Passionate, team player, good customer service skills and energetic Deli Clerk.

Cutting, Slicing (using Slicer), Packaging and Pricing.

Work in the back kitchen washing and chopping vegetables, receiving food shipments and preparing Sandwiches, Subs, Pizzas and Cheese/Meat Trays as per Customer's request.

Deli Clerks assist shoppers at the deli counter by recommending foods, providing samples of meats and cheeses, cutting, weighing, packaging, and pricing meats and cheeses, and responding to customer inquiries and requests.

Slicing, Wrapping, Packaging and Pricing all the smoked and Fresh sausages, Sticks and Jerky as per the Company's standards and requirements.

Other responsibilities include wiping counters, sanitizing kitchen supplies and thoroughly cleaning deli/Meat equipment like Slicer, Saw, Grinder, Sausage Stuffer and/or Tenderizer.
The Deli counter, Deli Case, Meat/Smoked Meat Cases and ordering area should be tidy and clean as to represent the deli's cleanliness.

Customer Service
Friendly yet quick customer service is necessary for a deli worker. Often times a customer is on her lunch break and needs time to order and eat before heading back to work. If a customer is particular about the how deli meat is sliced, the deli worker fulfills the request and gives a sample before slicing the desired amount. In addition, the seasoned deli worker knows the menu well, but accurately understands special requests, offers suggestions of similar items for customer review and explains food specials.
